ImpactBio is recruiting for several different Pharmacy Technician positions in Pittsburgh, PA. All of these positions are direct hire positions with our Pharmacy Clients.

  • Full Time Pharmacy Technicians
  • Compounding Pharmacy Technicians

MUST HAVES:

• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience

• Certified Pharmacy Technician License is preferred, or willing to obtain within 90-days of hire

• Experience in a Retail  Pharmacy

• 3 years experience working in a compounding lab for the Compounding Technician position

• PCCA Compounding training for the Compounding Technician position

• Ability to interact with a variety of external customers, including Patients, Patients Families, referring Physicians or their Clinical/Office Staff and Insurance Companies in a positive manner

• Superior Customer Service skills

• High energy level with the ability to multi-task effectively

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skill and be able to remain professional and courteous when dealing with sensitive issues and stressful situations

• Self-motivated, reliable and ability to function independently with in a team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Customers/Patients and Management

 

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of new patient profiles and medication updates

• Verify prescription information is complete and accurate

• Answer and triage telephone calls from doctors, patients, caregivers, etc

• Process new and refill Prescription orders accurately and in a timely manner

• Fax and follow-up on Prescription requests to Prescribers

• Assist with Prior Authorizations claims

• Review and verify patients’ insurance information

• Obtain missing insurance information, diagnosis code and other applicable information by contacting the physician or patient in order to compete the benefits investigation and/or authorization

• Maintain confidentiality with respect to patient/client care; complies with all federal and state laws applicable to the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI), and follows HIPPA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information

• Insure adherence to all DEA, federal, state and company policies, procedures, rules and regulations

• Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams specific to Compounding Technician

• Compound products in accordance to SOP’s specific to Compounding Technician

• Prepackage bulk medication specific to Compounding Technician

• Effectively manage and prioritize time to complete activities daily

• Be a motivational team player

• Other duties as required
