Asti’s is a very high-volume pharmacy and is seeking to add to their team of Pharmacy Technicians with a skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician. All that apply must have qualified experience and enjoy working in a fast pace environment.

MUST HAVES:

• High School diploma, Associate’s Degree preferred

• Certified Pharmacy Technician License is preferred, or willing to obtain within 90-days of hire (up to 100% of certification costs covered with a passing score of 90% or better)

• 3 years experience working in a compounding lab

• PCCA Compounding training

• Experience in a Retail Pharmacy

• Ability to interact with a variety of external customers, including patients, patients families, referring physicians or their clinical/office staff and insurance companies in a positive manner

• High energy level with the ability to multi-task effectively

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skill and be able to remain professional and courteous when dealing with sensitive issues and stressful situations

• Self-motivated, reliable and ability to function independently with in a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, customers/patients and management

• Ability to work a flexible work schedule to cover early morning and late evening pharmacy hours

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Assist the Pharmacist(s), under direct supervision, in the practice of Pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal and company regulations

• Assist the Pharmacist(s) with the filling and labeling of Prescriptions

• Answer and triage telephone calls for the Pharmacist(s)

• Maintain Pharmacy inventory

• Communicate with Patients, Physicians and/or Insurance Company as directed by the Pharmacist

• Accurately maintain all documentation

• Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams

• Compound products in accordance to SOP’s

• Prepackage bulk medication

• Maintain confidentiality with respect to patient/client care; complies with all federal and state laws applicable to the confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI), and follows HIPPA guidelines regarding readily identifiable protected health information

• Insure adherence to all DEA, federal, state and company policies, procedures, rules and regulations

• Maintain a clean and organized dispensing area and maintains and cleans equipment, including work area and shelves

• Effectively manage and prioritize time to complete activities daily

• Be a motivational team player
