Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales objectives for District through leadership of Sales Representatives
  • Conduct field rides and provide regular written and verbal feedback and direction to Sales Representatives
  • Coach and counsel representatives to optimize territory performance
  • Develop an expert knowledge of products, disease states, and competitors
  • Ensure PDMA compliance and adherence to Company sampling policies
  • Manage District expenses within allocated budget
  • Participate, as requested, in internal meetings to update progress and suggest positive solutions to specific issues and/or opportunities
  • Oversee recruiting, staffing, hiring, and training of field sales team
  • Develop a positive, inclusive culture in which representatives can develop and thrive while meeting sales objectives
  • Prepare annual performance appraisals
  • Successfully complete all corporate training requirements
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Minimum 5-years sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical industry
  • Minimum 2-years pharma sales management experience with documented leadership and measurable, sustained performance
  • Pulmonology / Diagnostic sales experience preferred
  • Experience with launching products successfully preferred
  • Ability to manage a district’s vision and purpose that is consistent with corporate and business objectives
  • Possess strong presentation, organization, administrative and communication skills
  • Ability to travel 50-75%
  • Valid driver’s license
